Alternate Versions

Some network TV airings of this cartoon have altered the scene where Elmer shoots Daffy, and Daffy's bill spins. This version cuts from Elmer pointing the gun to a shot of Daffy's bill spinning. The syndicated prints shown on TNT and Cartoon Network in the 80s and early 90s do not eliminate the shooting of the gun. Instead, we see a freeze frame (from another part of the cartoon) showing some scenery. We hear the gun shoot, and we cut back to Daffy's bill spinning. Today, when this cartoon is shown on TV, nothing is changed or cut out.
On Nickelodeon, the "No more bullets" routine was cut, because it showed Daffy looking into the barrel of a gun.
