In the original rough cut of the movie, Obi-wan went off to power down the Death Star's tractor beam without explanation, so the test audience was confused about what he was doing. Editors Richard Chew and Paul Hirsch solved the problem by adding a few shots of the Death Star's schematics, a C-3PO voice-over explaining how the reactors work, and a shot of Obi-wan manually shutting down one of them. After Greedo is killed in the Cantina we see him again crossing a street in the distance as Han and Luke are walking down the street. However, it's probably another alien of the same species, and they just look alike. See more »
Did you hear that? They shut down the main reactor. We'll be destroyed for sure. This is madness.

When the original theatrical version was first released, it was simply titled Star Wars. The opening crawl was changed to "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" during the 1981 re-release. According to Sterling Hedgpeth, Lucasfilm film archivist: "I found a box with all the positive elements for the 'revised' opening crawl, and the assorted trim boxes are dated from October through December 1980. This, then, is consistent with the view that Episode IV: A New Hope was added for the first time to the opening crawl for the April 10, 1981 re-release." See more »
There's not much to say about this movie this is *THE* movie that changed it all.
It's my favourite movie, and not only among the quadrilogy, among all movies; it has everything that can be great in a movie, great characters, great story, great sights, great special effects (they don't show 23 years) and a mythological background that made us dream for decades now, and that'll keep us dreaming for a long, long time. Maybe the characters I liked most in this one are Old Obi-Wan Kenobi, wonderfully portrayed by Alec Guinness, and Han Solo, Harrison Ford's first important role, they're both great.
Not to mention John Williams' wonderful score, without of it, the movie wouldn't have been this great it's a perfect mix, that's what it is!
