Sex & Nudity

  • A key scene involves a main character being forced to produced a semen sample. Masturbation is described and, while not explicitly shown, we see his feet in the bathroom stall as he ostensibly masturbates.
  • In another scene, a nude female dancer covering up with ostrich feathers is given extensive screen time, with brief glimpses of what appears to be rear and frontal nudity. However, if watched closely, the woman is not completley naked, but has on pasties and very small panties.
  • The film also contains a few other sexual innuendos and jokes

Violence & Gore

  • No graphic violence shown, but several violent explosions (some life-taking) are displayed at a distance. A needle deeply pierces a man's hand during an intense medical test. A man is shown with a severely burned face, with some blood and blistering; it is clear that he is otherwise unharmed, as he is walking vigorously.


  • The movie is rated PG, but the language would probably have gotten the movie an R rating.
  • Film contains frequents mild profanities such as damn, s**t, hell, etc. Pussy is used once. The word f**k is used 5 times. Blasphemous use of "Jesus".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Smoking and drinking (including beer and hard liquor) at casual social events or in bars is common throughout the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • As a movie about astronauts and test pilots, the movie contains many intense scenes, usually involving life-threatening situations in planes or spacecraft. Other intense situations depict the rigorous and painful tests and trainings the would-be astronauts experience.
