Ireland: Vikings pillage the land, seeking silver and slaves, slaying men and women in the process. A young boy is spared when a Viking takes pity on him instead of killing him. Did You Know?
The rain during the battle between Thord and Erik was not scripted, it simply started to rain on the day of filming and the director decided to just go with it. He even added some shots that took specific advantage of the rain for extra effect, such as where one man falls face down into a dirty, wet mud-pool. See more
