In a scene where John Stockwell's character is under his car fixing it, Fisher Stevens says to him: "Ya know, I seen this movie where this haunted car flames guys out.", referring to John Carpenter's Christine (1983) in which Stockwell had a major role.

The video tape and DVD box art, which is based on the poster, had Fisher Steven's holding an assault rifle with sticks of dynamite strapped to his body and smoking a cigar. The Rifle, dynamite, and cigar have all been removed from the blu-ray case of the film.
