Storyline

Jack Duggan (Weaver), works as a supervisor in the automotive industry and has been given the task of laying off his subordinates because with the new computer operations their jobs are obsolete. Some people would be kept on, Duggan included. But Duggan has a secret that will keep him from doing his new job. Rather than admit his secret, he resigns "in protest of the layoffs."

Adult literacy
24 March 2019 | by jimb101See all my reviews

This is the movie that prompted me to become an adult literacy tutor after I retired. I have worked with one of my students for more than 15 years and facilitated her learning from a 4th grade reading level to taking and passing college classes. She has the same desire to learn and determination to succeed as Dennis Weaver's character displays in the movie.
