Storyline

The Late show, which only ran for two years was one of the most successful and funny comedy shows ever produced and shown in Australia. It marked the re-grouping of the D-Generation, a comedy group from the late 80's. From the LIVE late night comedy show, came classic moments such as Shitscared, Charlie the wonder dog, The Oz brothers and heaps of other 'Champagne Comedy'. Trivia

Beginning as The DeGeneration (1986) it's main players split into The Comedy Company (1988) and Fast Foward (1988) and The Late Show (1992). When both series ended they merged into a new show Full Frontal (1993) before moving to a new station later and becoming Totally Full Frontal (1998). A short lived all female cast series called Big Girls Blouse (1994) failed to last after 1 season. Some cast members such as Mark Mitchell, Kim Gyngel & Eric Bana attempted a solo series based on popular characters, however they where unsuccessful. Shaun Micallif has continued the tradition in many forms over the years in a variety of shows such as The Micallif Program (1998) & Micallif Tonight (2003). The Late Show (1992) crew mainly went on to be remembered as The Panel (1998) See more »
