Storyline

Lloyd Fellowes (Sir Michael Caine) is the director of a theatre company. He's desperately trying to get his production together, despite the best efforts of the cast, the crew, and Lady Luck. We follow the production from final rehersals, through opening night, and onto the tour. As with any group of actors forced to work closely together for any great length of time, romances and arguments are bound to break out. Quite often, what's happening on stage is nothing compared to what's happening backstage. Written by Murray Chapman <muzzle@cs.uq.oz.au>

This is one of the most true movies about the inner workings of theater. All the gory and hysterical details!!

I grew up on this movie, and am an actress. This is a movie that every want-to-be actor or actress must see.

There is nothing like watching this movie with anyone who has ever done any form of acting on stage. But even if you have not done a day of acting in your life, this will still cause you to split your seams laughing.

Christopher Reeves and John Ritter alone are worth the movie, but you also get the wonderful comedy of Carol Burnett, Michael Cain, and Nicollette Sheridan.

A powerhouse comedy for the ages.
