Storyline

Devon Butler is an eight-year old who dreams of being a cop. He watches police TV shows, knows police procedures, and plays cops and robbers with his friend Ray. One day, while snooping around in a warehouse, he witnesses a murder. He goes to the police, who want the information, but won't get it until they make Devon a cop. The police then team him with veteran cop (and child hater) Nick McKenna, and the two team up in comic series of events to find the killer. Written by Stephen Currence <billyc@erols.com>

Goofs

Numerous times when Nick is protecting Devon from the gangsters in his biker outfit, his rear end can be briefly shown when he falls or bends down. When Devon and Nick land and hide in the boat, after the gangsters leave, they emerge and mere seconds before the shot changes to Nick sitting in front of the boat, his rear end is visibly shown (to which Devon appears to be glancing at). As bad as you think it is
31 May 1999 | by Wizard-8See all my reviews

Until he died, Gene Siskel kept making fun of Roger Ebert for giving this movie a positive review. That's certainly more funny than anything in this movie! A short but to the point review: UNFUNNY! Not one laugh! Yes, Reynolds needed the money, but surely he could have found something of better quality - couldn't he? Cliched, blandly directed, sweet to the point of giving diabetes! UGH!
