Storyline

Taking a romantic tropical island week off with her boyfriend, an ambitious, decisive New York girl agrees to help her magazine out by covering a story on a neighboring island. The only plane available is piloted by a laid-back heavy drinker with whom she shares a mutual dislike. But she has no choice and he can't refuse the money. When the plane crash-lands on an uninhabited island with little chance of rescue they both wish they had made other arrangements - at least to start with. Written by Jeremy Perkins {J-26}

Did You Know?

Goofs

After discovering the Japanese float plane, Robin is awakened to the sound of Quinn sawing the floats off the plane. He is using an apparently new hacksaw, which he did not bring with him. Did he return to the crash site which was several miles away? Or did he find one inside the float plane? If indeed it was inside the float plane, the blade would have rusted through after 40 years in the jungle. See more »

Quotes

[Robin and Quinn are sailing at the inflatable boat]
Robin Monroe: So what's the deal with you and... uhm...
[Robin draws breasts in the air]
Quinn Harris: Angelica.
Robin Monroe: Yeah.
Quinn Harris: No deal. We're friends. She works at the hotel couple of months a year, we have some laughs... keep it simple.
Robin Monroe: Well, has it always been... simple, or has there ever been anyone complicated?
[Quinn gives Robin a nasty look]
Robin Monroe: That's a yes. Yes? How complicated? Scale from one to ten.
Quinn Harris: Twelve.

The Good & Bad Of 'Six Days, Seven Nights'
8 August 2006 | by ccthemovieman-1See all my reviews

This romantic comedy and adventure story had a bunch of good and bad things going for or against it., but overall was an enjoying story that was a pleasant diversion. I don't know if I'd own it, but it's worth watching once or twice.

THE GOOD - Some tremendous South Seas island scenery; a good mix of comedy and adventure with attractive leads in Anne Heshe and Harrison Ford; and fast-moving story meaning good entertainment.

THE BAD - Poor messages about fidelity and marriages; an annoying, whining character played by David Schwimmer; too heavy - for family viewing - on the profanity and cleavage.
