Trivia

The song "Hallå Västindien" (Hello Westindies) was written exclusively for this show by Anders Melander, most commonly known as a music writer for Nationalteatern. Written as an ironic homage to the Swedish dance music of its time, the last verse reveals that the song is not at all about the Westindies but rather one of an allotment situated in an industrial area. The song was later picked up by the band Vikingarna who made it a number one hit in Sweden, although leaving out the last verse. See more »
