Skin Deep is a tragic comedy of a destined looser who will do anything to prove that the destiny is wrong.
In Pitch's neighborhood everyone has a dream. Maybe that is why the barber is a practicing magician, the tattoo- maker thinks he is Houdini, and even the local homeless people jam in their own rock band. It seems as if the only guy who doesn't have any aspirations is Pitch., although he too has a dream; true love. It may seem unreal the he finds his girl banging a stranger in his kitchen, but that doesn't stop Pitch from falling madly in love again only five beers later. Too bad that it takes two to tango, and that Pitch's new girl is not in the mood for dancing anymore.
You've Got to Have Heart is a gay fantasy, full of those old songs from the Eurovision contest, a glittering spectacle loved by all Europeans and Israeli's. The film takes place in a small provincial town, where the only entertainment is the local Israeli folk dance club, the nightly meeting place for the town's youth. Among them are Gur and Mitzi, childhood pals. He is on his way to study architecture in Jerusalem and she is still searching. They are both detracted to Merito, a good looking Latin type, who exchanges girls at a remarkable speed. In between them is Nohav, who is madly in love with Gur, and who dreams of being noticed by him, to be immediately followed by living happily ever after. Will those dreams ever come true?
