The infamous theatrical trailer, featuring songs "Fly" by Sugar Ray and "Momma Told Me Not To Come" by Three Dog Night, shows many alternate takes of some scenes, extended versions of some others, parts of few deleted scenes including the one where Nick finds real Troy on the Titan moon turned into fetus and Troy begging Nick to help him, and couple shots of original ending where Karl is killed by dimensional jump. In two separate scenes, Penalosa and Lund and, later, Vanzant and Evers are shown having sex in zero gravity. This is impossible due to the lack of friction and gravity and requires a third person to hold them in place. See more »
I think you're making a big mistake, Captain.
[spins on his heels]
Oh, yeah? You want to clarify that?
I'm offering you the opportunity of a lifetime and you're passing it up for all of us.
For all of us? Your opportunity of a lifetime has cost us the life of our ship's captain, it has endangered the lives of this crew, and it's wasting our critical time. All this for some half-baked delusional belief that you'll make yourself rich. There is no opportunity here and there is no us.

This has got to be one of the worst sci-fi movies I have ever seen! I ofcourse love science fiction movies, but this one really dragged the genre through the mud! The acting was poor, much like listening to boring small than anything interesting. The characters were not interesting, the plot was weak and short, and the special effects were not even that great! Ok, the jump sequence might be the best of the effects shots in the movie, but it seems to be a mix of both Stargate and Star Trek! Also there were considarable plot holes in the the story as well as some really stupid mistakes: If they were a rescue craft, why did they only have enough jump pods for the crew alone? Does this mean that they only go to the area and find if there are suvivors and then leave again? What was the deal with "Sweety" and the crew member? IF she could finally think for her self, why didn't she help out the remaining crew members? And there are other problems too.
A really bad film, not even worth renting on video, a *out of***** in my book.
