You'd think that Oil Can Harry would get tired of sticking Fanny Zilch in a trunk. Strongheart and his white horse always rescue her from being sawed on a log at the last moment.
Producer Paul Terry and Director Frank Moser was getting near the end of 1935 and this latest iteration of this particular Terrytoon plot had probably been penciled in at the start of the production season. They typically remade their earlier cartoons every two or three years with little change except for technical advance, secure in the certainty that their audience had no clear memory of having seen the exact same thing a few years back. Nowadays, with the Internet's ability to let us see them immediately after if we like, the lack of creativity is quickly revealed.
