Storyline

Alcoholic movie director, Rahul (Rahul Roy) ends up in a Rehabilitation Centre. Once there, he finds out that there is an inmate who is suicidal and has deep ranging mental problems, namely Pooja (Pooja Bhatt). After an initial clash of personalities, the two become fast friends, and find that there are in love with each other. But Pooja's paranoia and instabillity makes any relationship impossible, and as a result she is hospitalized in a mental institution. Shortly thereafter there is a fire at this institution, and Pooja is killed in it. Rahul is devastated by Pooja's death, and is unable to take her off of his mind. One of his movie actresses, Seema (Pooja Bedi), and his brother Rohit, attempt to divert his mind, without much success. Then Rahul starts getting phone calls from a girl whose voice resembles Pooja's. Written by rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)

Trivia

Pooja Bedi was angry with Mahesh Bhatt about the way her role turned out. She felt cheated and lied to. She was promised equal footage as Pooja Bhatt. Pooja Bedi also accused Mahesh Bhatt of slashing her role to bits. The final product made it an out and out Pooja Bhatt film. Pooja Bedi insisted she only agreed to do a TV movie because of the promise that she had a good role in the film. When she realized what was going wrong, she insisted to the producer Johnny Bakshi that she be credited as a Guest Appearance. Later Pooja stated her father Kabir Bedi advised her it was wrong to do the film. Kabir did not like the idea of Mahesh exploiting Praveen Babi's life for financial gain. See more »

Excellent soundtrack,average film
14 April 2011 | by varghesejuniorSee all my reviews

I watched PTKYA because I like the songs sooo much. But soundtrack and film direction are not always of same quality,if I must compare.

The film is about a director-storywriter who falls in love love with a girl whom he later realizes is insane ,but is unwilling to let go despite everyone warning him to do so(LOVE IS BLIND!!!).The girl lands up in an asylum later and the hero is heartbroken.three years later he hears that she has passed away in a fire in the asylum. But then he starts to get calls from her saying "tu na aaya, toh hum chale aaye".

The rest?you can watch the movie to know, but it's not worth.

Songs are the best part. Rahul Roy and Pooja Bhat do an average job.

No choreography for any of the songs.

All in all ,I gave 5 because of the music.
