Just Okay

I'm a great fan of the MGM Pete Smith's short subjects. His snarky delivery of sarcastic lines usually adds a great deal to any subject, whether it's making fun of other short subjects, like the 'Goofy Movies' series or serious subjects like high-speed photography in QUICKER THAN A WINK.

In this short sports trivia quiz, however, despite a few silly lines, Smith can't add much to the subject and so we are left with the usual competently produced but straightforward and dully solemn MGM short subject, On top of that, I was able to guess the answers to the questions I didn't know, like what country roller skates were invented in. This one won't make you a Pete Smith fan, but if you are one already, you'll probably want to see it.
