Trivia

The radios that Finch, Jim, Oz, & Stifler are using are either FRS or GMRS radios. Consumer 2-way radios that transmit ½ watt or 5 watts (respectively) and do not require a license. They have declined in use for the same reason that payphones have: Proliferation & ubiquitousness of cellular telephones. See more »

Alternate Versions

Several scenes featuring Stifler's dad, played by Chris Penn, were cut after initial screenings. One included Finch losing control over his tantric orgasm concentration when Stifler's dad rubs his shoulders. Finch later tells Stifler that his dad gave him the best orgasm he's ever had. In another scene, after Michelle the Band Camp Chick puts the trumpet in Jim's butt, they sneak out and we see in silhouette a camp counselor playing the trumpet. Later, footage of the counselor with a gross fungus growing around his mouth was shown, but dropped during screenings. See more »

User Reviews

one pie too much
30 September 2003 | by dbdumonteilSee all my reviews

Unfortunately, "American Pie 2" ranks in the circle of the pointless sequels that merely aim at exploiting the success of the first movies. I didn't watch the first "American Pie" (1999) film but I know the story: 4 students who are eager to lose their virginity before leaving high school. I've heard that they succeed in it. And then? Was it really useful to shot one sequel to a movie which topic didn't precisely require one?

Well what I can say about this movie is that it contains a mediocre directing but also and nearly as usual in American teen-movies a humor that lacks sharpness. There are sinister gags that don't encourage laughter too. Must you add that the movie exudes a deep boredom and consequently leaves indifferent?

To finish, I've got only three adjectives to qualify "American Pie 2": boring, uninspired and quite unfunny. I'd better not watch "American Pie: the wedding" (2003).
