The Fourth Angel (2001)
Bernard: For a country that doesn't give its citizens the right to bear arms, there have been an unusual number of people getting shot, lately.
Kate: These people are the dregs, Jack. Not even the governments can control them!
Davidson: Are you feeling alright, Bernard?
Bernard: Getting better by the minute. Napoleon taught us never to stop an enemy when he's making a mistake.
Davidson: Officially, our hands are tied. Nothing's going to happen. But if you want to cook the stew, then stir the pot yourself.
Jack Elgin: There's no precedent for it under national law, international law, European law, or the natural laws of justice!
Davidson: The fact of the matter is, the United States has very little room to maneuver.
Jack Elgin: Oh, bullshit! Look, I'm sorry, but everybody is saying that! And nobody will do anything!
Bernard: I'm only three minutes late. They should wait a thousand years for the right to vote. That would make them impatient! I'm talking about women.
Jack Elgin: [Weeping as he hugs his son] It's alright, darling. Crying helps.
Andrew: [Sobbing] No it doesn't!
Jack Elgin: ...You're right. It doesn't.
Jack Elgin: The British and the American governments must do something to bring these hijackers to justice! Fifteen people died! My wife, my daughters, and neither the Americans under whose flag the airplane was flying, nor the British government, can just be allowed to abandon them, and walk away!
Davidson: I have the State Department asking for their money back.
Bernard: The cash in the locker is evidence.
Davidson: They're looking for a lot more than that.
Bernard: ...Just as soon as we can find it for you, sir.
Lewison: What makes you think this had to do with politics?
Bernard: Everything is politics. Philosophically.
Maria: No-one ever wished on their death-bed that they'd spent more time at the office!
Davidson: If you come up with something interesting, well, shit happens. Unofficially.
Jack Elgin: My son has just lost his mother! I think it's important that I stick around!
Davidson: Maybe you owe them more than that.
Bernard: Somebody knows more than we do. Somebody is out there killing these sons of bitches. And that somebody is gonna walk us right to their front door!
