Arjun Yadav return from the city after completing his studies to get settled in his village with his family consisting of his mother Devi Chaudaran, his older brother Amrit and sister. Arjun finds out that Amrit and Thakur Bhanwar Singh does not get along quiet well and attempts to be a peace-maker between the two. One day situation takes a turn for the worse when Amrit is killed, Devi Chaudaran loses her senses, Arjun's sister is raped and he himself is beaten and tied to a tree. Arjun is then rescued by some sympathetic villagers and run off with his childhood friend Makan Malla in the deep ravines only to turn an outlaw whose only motive is to avenge the killings of his family members.
City educated and peace-loving Arjun would love to have the Thakur, his brother and the rest of the villagers to live in harmony. Arjun's peace-loving dreams are shattered when his brother is killed, his sister Shanta is raped and killed in front of the village and he himself is beaten up, tied to a tree and left for dead. Villagers who empathize with bandits rescue him and take him to their hideout in the deep ravines. There he meets bandits who were his childhood friends, who have turned into outlaws due to the sufferings inflicted on them by Thakur and his men. Arjun has a choice now, either go on trusting the corrupt village police; or join the gang of bandits and avenge the death of his sister and brother.
