Trivia

THQ and AKI started development on the game without actually having the WWF license. The WWF was under contract with Acclaim, but made it known that they would not be re-signing, instead taking their franchise to THQ. THQ, on only the WWF's word, began pooling their resources into a new WWF game. When they acquired the license in August 1999, the game was near completed and then released November 1999. See more »

The Start of a Great Series of Games
10 February 2015 | by TerryfanSee all my reviews

After THQ gain the rights to produce World Wrestling Federation Video Games it was meant for the partnership to go off with a bang and thankfully it did.

WWF Wrestlemania 2000 is the game that all wrestling fans will love and then some.

The Roster is full all of those who made the Attitude Era epic with such wrestlers as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Kane, Triple H, The Rock, Mankind, X-Pac, Road Dogg Jesse James, Billy Gunn, Chris Jericho,Ken Shamrock and many more.

The Game features so many wrestlers that it is endless match ups that you and your friends will spend hours playing this classic.

The graphics in the game look much like WCW/NWO Revenge however with WWF Wrestlers and arenas but never the less it looks very good and the wrestlers look close to their counterparts plus very good artwork.

The intro the game over is amazing that when you watch it you know you are going to be given a great thrill playing Wrestlemania 2000.

The controls are like WCW Revenge which is great news for those who play Revenge. It is very well done and make it easy to pull off moves to your opponent and try gain the victory.

The sound is great as well with crowd reaction and very good take of the WWF Wrestlers theme songs. Also awesome entrances as your favorite wrestlers enters the arena and goes to the ring ready for battle.

Game Play is pure flawless, I can recall going to Blockbuster with my brothers to rent this game and we spend the whole weekend playing it with countless matches.

So yes WWF Wrestlemania 2000 is a must have for any wrestling fan and video game fan.

With good graphics, tight game play and hours of fun then you can't go wrong.

I give WWF Wrestlemania 2000 an 10 out of 10
