The subject of the craft, lifestyle and experiences of screen writing, told right from the horse's mouth is a slam-dunk for a tasty and satisfying documentary, since the category isn't rich with existing titles. That makes "We, The Screenwriter" such a disappointment. What the director has produced is an irritating and gimmicky mess, full of distracting visual effects-jumpy film, fake scratches, etc ... Also, the editing style and organization of the material is so jumpy and jumbled that it annoyed and frustrated me. Any documentary that thinks its subject isn't interesting enough without a lot of showy, 'look at me' crap isn't, generally, worth watching. One is better off watching "Tales From The Script" or "Dreams on Spec."
