9 Movies on Netflix Starring the Man, the Myth, the Legend Keanu Reeves

Charming us since his days as a goofy high schooler on Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Keanu Reeves has had a lucrative career, racking up a reputation as one of the sweetest people in Hollywood. As he himself puts it, his movies entertain. He became an action icon following his role as Neo in The Matrix and a pencil-wielding assassin in John Wick. Rom-com connoisseurs may remember him as Diane Keaton's dreamy boyfriend from Nancy Meyer's Something's Gotta Give or Winona Ryder's snarky love interest in Destination Wedding. This Summer, he's doing a little bit of everything, lending his talents to the third installment of the badass John Wick mega-franchise and stealing Ali Wong's heart in Always Be My Maybe. Taraji P. Henson in First Trailer for Adam Shankman's 'What Men Want'

"I'm so sick of this boys club!" Paramount Pictures has debuted the first full trailer for a funky workplace comedy titled What Men Want, starring the Oscar-nominated Taraji P. Henson as a successful sports agent. The movie is the latest directed by Adam Shankman and comes from a story written by Nancy Meyers. The movie features a twist where she suddenly gains the ability to hear men's thoughts, which gives her an edge on signing the next basketball superstar. The cast includes Aldis Hodge, Richard Roundtree, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Tracy Morgan. I will say this actually looks quite funny despite being very cheesy, but I'm down to give it a shot. Here's the first official trailer for Adam Shankman's What Men Want, direct from Paramount's YouTube: Ali (Taraji P. Henson) is a successful sports agent who’s constantly ...

Rumored Rivals Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor Actually Shared a Surprising Connection

They were two of the biggest female sex symbols of the 50s and early 60s, but Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor didn't consider each other competitors. "In many ways [they] were pitted against each other by the press," Charles Casillo writes in his new book, Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon. "In reality, they barely knew each other, and the two had no animosity toward each other." Quite the opposite! Casillo writes of an incident in 1962, when 20th Century Fox was bleeding money on Liz's over-budgeted extravaganza Cleopatra. The studio simultaneously fired Marilyn for alleged absences from the set of her never-completed final film, the aptly titled Something's Gotta Give. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Marilyn felt she was being sacrificed so Fox could save on her salary and spend it on finishing the bloated Egyptian epic. Two decades later, Liz revealed to a friend that she had reached

Wonder Woman 2 Director Scores Record-Setting Raise

Wonder Woman 2 Director Scores Record-Setting Raise
Patty Jenkins is getting a big raise for her work on Wonder Woman 2. The director is a major part of what made Wonder Woman so successful and Warner Bros. wanted her back in the director's chair for the sequel from the very beginning. But Jenkins took it upon herself to negotiate a deal on par with what other directors, namely top-notch male directors, can command in Hollywood. To say the least, she was successful as she is reportedly set to make $9 million for her work on the sequel.

Negotiations took some time, but Patty Jenkins closed her deal to direct Wonder Woman 2 August of last year. Because Warner Bros. didn't lock her down for multiple movies out of the gate, Jenkins was in a position to work for this major deal. According to a new report that reveals what some of Hollywood's elite are making for their biggest projects,

Jimmy Kimmel Hinted at a Major Oscars Scandal in His Opening Monologue

Touching upon the Harvey Weinstein scandals in his opening speech for the Oscars, host Jimmy Kimmel quipped that the only other person to get expelled from the Academy was a character actor named Carmine Caridi, who received the same punishment as Weinstein because he lent a "neighbor a copy of Seabiscuit on VHS." Surely, this shout-out must have been awkward for Caridi, who's been out of the spotlight for the last 14 years since his expulsion from the Academy. Many younger viewers may miss this reference, but Caridi's scandal was quite a debacle back in the day. In early 2004, federal authorities alleged that Caridi gave Russell Sprague screeners of over 60 movies seeking consideration for the Academy Awards after it found a copy of Something's Gotta Give circulating illegally on the Internet in 2004. Sprague and Caridi had met in Los Angeles when Sprague helped Caridi with a broken Vcr. They kept in contact,

'Home Again' Review: Reese Witherspoon's Romcom is a Big Little Wreck
Reese Witherspoon can still do anything – check out HBO's Big Little Lies, where she does double duty as an actress and an executive producer, showing how life looks from a complex woman's point of view. Sadly, that particular skill set fails to find its way into Home Again, a patently bogus romcom in which every note rings false.

Witherspoon plays Alice Kinney, a single mom of two precocious daughters and who's just left New York for Los Angeles after splitting from her music-exec husband (Michael Sheen). You can save your tears,

The Dramas of Diane Keaton

“It’s not a good idea to be identifiable, though it’s reassuring. It feels safe in most ways, and that’s bad, because it means that you’re accepted, and once that happens that’s where you stay. You have to watch yourself. I’d like a life like Katharine Hepburn’s in terms of work. She matured. She made the changes. Like Martha Graham.”

Diane Keaton, New Yorker, 1978

Diane Keaton is to receive the American Film Institure Lifetime Achievement award on June 8th. We should be pleased, not only deserved because Keaton is a true legend, but also because highly accomplished comic actors are so often overlooked by awards bodies. Think of Keaton and Annie Hall comes immediately to mind along with other Woody Allen films, as well as comedies like The First Wives Club, Father of the Bride and Something's Gotta Give. But few actresses have a

Her foray into holiday flicks...
