Political propaganda of late Cultural Revolution era worth watching
22 December 2003 | by zzmaleSee all my reviews

This movie is a standard format of the political propaganda of late Cultural Revolution era:

Besides eulogizing the political movement like in those films in early era, and the anti Lin Biao sentiment of the mid Cultural Revolution era, this late era production also added the anti Deng Xiao-ping sentiment after Deng was named deputy premier in 1975. This last part is what makes most production in the late Cultural Revolution era differs from the previous ones.
