Another great symbol of political liberalization

It used to be all pre-revolutionary cops are evil because they were part of the tools used to suppress revolutionaries. This movie gives an honest depiction on pre-revolutionary era police work of solving crimes and thus gives credits to the good things the pre-revolutionary law enforcement did for the Chinese society.
