Two early thirties best friends live together while having completely different personalities. While their girlfriends try to help them take on more responsibilities the boys seldom respond well and usually end up drinking together.
Maggie and Phil are a late-30s English couple on a standard summer holiday with their two teenage children. On their first morning on holiday, Phil announces he wants to move out. Maggie is numb and the situation doesn't get better as she's not-so-subtly questioned as a wife by her friends and mother, forced to adapt to life as a breadwinner to pay the bills while Phil seeks truth and self-fulfillment. She finds that she is stronger than she thought she was and weaker too.Written by
A tender look at the realities of separation after years of quiet togetherness and seeing things in retrospective that were not apparent at the time.
Phil and Maggie are torn apart when Phil announces he needs time to find himself and moves out, leaving Maggie with two teenage kids, whispering neighbors, an accusing mother and a broken sink. In the blink of an eye lives change and Maggie steps into a world she never dreamed she would be part of -- the single mother struggling to make ends meet.
