Kummelin Jackpot is a Finnish film starring Heikki Silvennoinen. Heikki plays Pertti 'Pera' Järvelä a middle aged man, estranged from his wife and daughter, completely broke and a singer in a band that are striving to be mediocre. The band have the chance to create a a cassette of the their songs one of which is "I will stick to you like piles".
The film follows Pera's fortunes, his relationships with the band, his daughter, his lover and other characters that inhabit his world.
Pera has a guardian angel that appears from time to time but does nothing. It seems we are responsible for our own decisions,
The film is dark, humorous and poignant.
