TNT Western Series Gateway Casts Keir O’Donnell, Keith Carradine and More; ABC Developing U.S. Remake of U.K. Comedy Suburban Shootout

Cam Gigandet is already set to take a lead role as Jake Flynn, one of three brothers in the new TNT western drama Gateway (formerly known as Tin Star), but Deadline has word on four more actors joining the cast. Rounding out the group of Flynn brothers living in the titualar Colorado town in the 1880's will be Keir O’Donnell (Wedding Crashers) playing Terence and David Denman (Roy from The Office) playing Daniel. Meanwhile Shannon Lucio (The Chicago Code) and Eric Lange (Lost) have also been cast as Terence's wife and the town banker respectively. ABC Developing U.S. Version Of British Crime Comedy ‘Suburban Shootout’

Exclusive: ABC has put in development a U.S. version of the praised British comedy Suburban Shootout. Byron Balasco will write the hourlong adaptation of the half-hour original, a dark comedy about a woman who escapes the city and her past for suburban bliss only to discover she (with the help of her new neighbors) has to resort to using unconventional methods and her past skills to achieve the life she so desires. ABC Studios is producing with Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment and Laurence Bowen and Philip Clarke’s Feelgood Fiction, the company behind the British series that controls the format rights. Balasco, Kaplan, Bowen and Clarke are executive producing. This is the second stab at launching a U.S. version of Suburban Shootout. ‘Lone Ranger’ & ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D’ Snag Female Leads

Here’s an odd mix of projects that look to have cast pivotal female roles: Walt Disney Picture’s Lone Ranger and Lionsgate’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.

English actress Ruth Wilson is negotiating to portray Rebecca in the Lone Ranger movie, which will also feature Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, and possibly Tom Wilkinson as well. Meanwhile, Lost starlet Tania Raymonde has been cast as another potential Leatherface victim in the new Chainsaw Massacre flick.

Wilson has primarily worked in the television medium, starring in shows like Suburban Shootout and AMC’s updated take on the classic cult series, The Prisoner. She also landed a Golden Globe nomination for her work on a 2006 Masterpiece Theater Jane Eyre mini-series, and recently appeared opposite Idris Elba in the BBC’s Luther. AMC Announces Launch Date for Limited Series "The Prisoner"

Cabler AMC has announced that its six-hour limited series event The Prisoner, starring Jim Caviezel and Ian McKellan, will launch on Sunday, November 15th at 8 pm Et/Pt. The cabler will air three two-hour installments over three consecutive nights, with subsequent installments airing on Monday, November 16th and Tuesday, November 17th. In this remake of the classic British cult series, Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ) plays Number Six, a man who finds himself the unwitting titular prisoner of The Village, a strange and surreal settlement overseen by the nefarious Number Two, played by Ian McKellan (Lord of the Rings). The Prisoner also stars Jamie Campbell-Bower (The Twilight Saga: New Moon) as Number 11-12, Hayley Atwell (Brideshead Revisited) as Number 41-5, Lennie James (Jericho) as Number 147, and Ruth Wilson (Suburban Shootout) as Number 313.
