Ricky has been hailed as one of the greatest sleight of hand artists of all time, and was known for his crazy card and memory tricks. PSA: Orange Is the New Black's Healy Is in A Star Is Born
The cast of A Star Is Born is filled with some of the most recognizable names in Hollywood. Bradley Cooper stars and directs; Lady Gaga plays the protagonist Ally; the supporting cast includes veteran actors like Sam Elliott and Dave Chappelle. Even stage stars are getting in on it, with Hamilton original cast member Anthony Ramos in a supporting role. But if you're a regular Netflix viewer, there's at least one other actor you'll recognize: Michael Harney, who plays Wolfe, a friend of the father of Gaga's character, Ally.

Like many New York-based actors, Harney's first role on a notable series was on Law & Order in the 1990s. He actually appeared four times over the course of five years - as three separate characters! For the most part, Harney's early career consisted of a lot of law-enforcement-type roles, with an arc as Detective Roberts on NYPD Blue and guest spots on L.

This Is Exactly How Much You'll See of George Clooney's Danny Ocean in Ocean's 8
Warning: Extremely mild spoilers for Ocean's 8 below!

The cast for Ocean's 8 is chock-full of A-listers - Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, and more - but there's one actor who is noticeably absent from the all-star lineup: George Clooney. Although the Suburbicon director originated the role of heist mastermind Danny Ocean in the initial trilogy - Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, and Ocean's Thirteen - the character has been killed off in the new spinoff, which it hinted at in the movie's thrilling trailer.

The slick caper follows Danny's sister, Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), as she devises a plan to pull off a jewelry heist at New York City's yearly Met Gala after being released from prison. With the help of her eclectic all-female crew, Debbie schemes to rob one celebrity (Hathaway) of her jaw-dropping $100-million necklace at some point throughout the event.

Ocean's 8 Wins at the Box Office with $41.5 Million

Warner Bros.' Ocean's 8 had no trouble fending off the competition this weekend, debuting atop the box office with $41.5 million. The Ocean's Eleven spin-off had been projected to debut within the $40 million range in its first frame, and it managed to match those expectations with an impressive debut, ending the two-week winning streak of Disney/LucasFilm's Solo: A Star Wars Story, which dropped to a distant second place with $15.1 million. Ocean's Eight's reign may be a short one, with The Incredibles 2 arriving next weekend and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in the frame after that, but its debut is still impressive nonetheless.

The $41.5 million debut at the box office represents more than half of Ocean's 8's $70 million budget, and even though it only earned $12.2 million overseas for a global opening weekend tally of $53.7 million, it should have no trouble eclipsing its budget and making a solid profit. The

An 'Ocean's' Refresher Course Before Seeing 'Ocean's 8'

The Ocean's franchise is known for its convoluted schemes, which is par for the course if you are trying to rip off some of the most powerful casino folks in Las Vegas.

Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his team have resorted to faking an earthquake (Ocean's Thirteen), removing part of the top floor of a casino (also Ocean's Thirteen) and, in one of the most infamous moments in any franchise's history, had Tess Ocean (Julia Roberts) create a distraction by pretending to be … Julia Roberts (Ocean's Twelve). Apparently, Julia Roberts exists in the Ocean'...

Review: Ocean's 8, Thieves Like Us, Sorta

Upon its release in December 2001, Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven felt like a salve upon a troubled nation's open wounds. Coming on the heels of Soderbergh's dazzling dramatic duo of the previous year (Erin Brockovich and Traffic), his caper flick felt like a lark, a remake for a major Hollywood studio that was happy to indulge his stylistic whims and fancies. The ensemble cast, led by George Clooney and Brad Pitt, looked like they were having a good time, and that infected anyone lucky enough to see the movie in a theater with an appreciative audience. Soderbergh's casual grace and the charm of the cast carried the sequels, Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007), but the trilogy came to a good-natured conclusion and all...

Ocean's 8 Is on Track for a Great $45M Opening Weekend

Warner Bros. is getting ready to roll out its highly-anticipated female lead Ocean's 8, a spin-off of director Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven trilogy, and it seems this could be a sleeper hit of the summer. Early box office tracking has put Ocean's 8 between $30 million and $45 million for its opening weekend. While we'll have to wait about three weeks to see how it really fares in theaters, this high-profile spin-off has the advantage of debuting right in between some of this summer's biggest movies.

Ocean's 8 will be going up against Global Road's action-thriller Hotel Artemis and A24's thriller Hereditary, and while both of those movies will arrive in wide release, they likely won't get quite as wide a release as Ocean's 8, which will likely be somewhere between a 3,500 and 3,750 theater-count debut. The movie has an estimated production budget of $70 million, a modest figure that could mean

Ocean's Eight Poster Lines Up an Epic Cast of Thieves

Ocean's Eight Poster Lines Up an Epic Cast of Thieves
The first poster for Ocean's Eight is here. It's hard to think of a better heist movie than Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven, which spawned two sequels and made a boatload of money at the box office. Warner Bros. is looking to keep the franchise going with the female-driven Ocean's Eight. Now, the studio has unveiled the first poster for the movie, which leans into the stacked, all-female cast, led by Sandra Bullock.

While we haven't seen any footage from Ocean's Eight just yet, this poster offers a rather reassuring first look. The poster is very sleek and features a whole lot of red. Sprinkled in with that red is the eight, core female stars of the movie, who are led by Sandra Bullock, who serves as the connective tissue to the other Ocean's movies, as the sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney). In a recent interview with EW, Bullock

'Ocean's Eight' Villain Named; Spoiler: It's a Man

Villains are just as important as heroes nowadays, especially in team-up movies. Back when the original Ocean's 11 was released in 1960, a villainous character named Duke Santos didn't even show up until after the lovable heroes had already pulled off their amazing casino heist. By the time Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and company remade the movie as Ocean's Eleven in 2001, villains had become essential, so villainous casino owner Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) became an integral element in the heist flick and also its sequel, Ocean's Twelve. The third installment, Ocean's Thirteen, featured nasty businessman Willy Bank (Al Pacino). Now that the primary heroines of spin-off movie Ocean's Eight have been assembled -- Sandra Bullock, Cate...

With its cast now in place for the highly-anticipated Ocean's Eight, Warner Bros. has set a June 8, 2018 release date for this project. This new all-female reboot will square off against what could be a huge summer blockbuster, Paramount's Transformers 6, while also arriving two weeks before Disney and LucasFilm's Star Wars spin-off centering on Han Solo. It will also open one week before Disney Pixar's long-awaited Toy Story 4 and two weeks before Universal's Jurassic World 2.
