Storyline

Aunt Bee is positively giddy when out of the blue she receives a letter from an old beau, Roger Hanover. She hasn't seen him for many years and decides to write and invite him for a weekend. Roger and Aunt Bee hit it off and seem to start off where they ended all those years ago. It's all a bit of a problem for Andy as no matter how hard he tries he just can't take a liking to the man. Roger has a strange sense of humor, always making jokes at the expense of others. When he makes a proposition to Andy however, the Sheriff decides to call his bluff. Written by garykmcd

Adios, jerk

Surely Wallace Ford was a nice guy off screen, wasn't he? Here he plays one of the most objectionable characters ever to pass through Mayberry. Either Andy Griffith is doing a great job of acting like he loathes the guy or else he really doesn't care for him. I'll give him this, though: what a great head of hair!
