Storyline

Barry is reunited with Tatiana, his Russian wife, who has come out to Thailand for a reconciliation but soon afterwards he is kidnapped and a ransom of 100,000 dollars demanded. A man claims to know where he is being held and drives them to a village but then they are all kidnapped by local guerillas. However they steal the guerilla leader's phone and summon help, discovering that the brains behind the plot is spymaster Tarquin, whom they met in Russia. After such excitement they are glad to resume work in a peaceful location, returning to Germany. Written by don @ minifie-1

Trivia

This is one of the only times the phrase "Auf Wiedersehen Pet" is actually used in the series. "Pet" is used often, and "Auf Wiedersehen" (such as when Oz says "Auf Wiedersehen Son", to Rod), but this is the only occasion that they appear together. One of the only other occasions is when Oz is hospitalised in Season 1 and Dennis says it to a member of staff in the hospital. See more »

Au Revoir: Part 2

Barry has been kidnapped but I always thought that Neville was the intended target and dastardly Tarquin is behind it all.

The boys are rounded up by Neville from a Thai massage parlour to find Barry with the help of Tatiana. However when a Thai local claims to know where Barry is being held, the boys naively go to a village with him and end up being kidnapped by local guerillas aas well.

They are the same group that hold Barry and they demand a high ransom. The boys decide to make themselves useful to the villagers by building much needed provisions for them, a bathroom and toilet. At least it would be a distraction until they can figure out a way to escape.

It is good knockabout fun but it does feel lesser than the previous shows. It was nice to see the crew one last time before it really was Auf Wiedersehen for good.
