A pleasant outing with this unique show
25 May 2017 | by shaksprynSee all my reviews

This detective series is really different, and this episode is a good example of why. In most such series, the viewer figures out pretty quickly who is the killer, and the viewer is nearly always right! There just aren't enough suspects. But in this series, as in Perry Mason, there are plenty of suspects. In this episode, they are all very attractive ladies. It is startling to find in one episode Jeanne Crain, Joanne Dru, Hazel Court, Martha Hyer and Susan Strasberg!

It is a hallmark of this series to provide lots of suspects. The good part of that is, it keeps you guessing. The downside is, there isn't much time to develop their characters. Another way the series is different, is that modern feminism is just not even a concept here. Women routinely bat their eyes and practice feminine wiles with gusto! The emphasis of the show is on with and humor; it's a sort of drawing-room comedy, with a mystery flavor. The first season 32 episodes, is available on DVD. In this outing, Susan Strasberg simply romps! See it.
