Storyline

As Bosley relieves Kelly on what has been a thus far uneventful and according to Kelly boring stakeout, they spot their person of interest, Joe Danworth, making his move. As Kelly and Bosley approach him, Danworth shoots Kelly point blank in the head in front of a horrified Bosley. As Bosley, Kris and Julie stand vigil over Kelly at the hospital, she entering into delicate surgery with the doctors uncertain of her prognosis including whether she will actually survive, Bosley, Kris and Julie talk about the good, the bad and the ugly about their lives and careers together and whether it has all been worth it, especially in light of what, especially for Kris, is one of the uglies of the current situation: why Charlie isn't at the hospital standing vigil with them. Trivia

The ratings plummeted in season 4 mainly due to viewers experiencing Kris-fatigue. Indeed, most of the stories were rehashed, with Kris being once again the one victimized and angel in peril, again and again. Previously aired story-lines from season 3 were also repeated. Season 4 also incomprehensibly saw Kris' big sister Jill (Farrah Fawcett) reenact the same scenario again and again, the one where she falls in love with different men she must invariably and tragically part from: a real-life prince, a jewel thief, or previously, a race car driver. Instead of utilizing newcomer angel Tiffany and exploring her uncanny background of psychic skills, viewers were tiresomely served the same plot, week after week. The unfortunate addition of Julie Rogers - a completely unfit match for the series who shared no chemistry with the established angels - irreparably soon spelled swan song for the series: the ratings dropped to the critical point of no return, and Tanya Roberts' stint as angel was axed well before her season wrapped up, leaving the characters in limbo and the series without a resolution. Goofs

When reminiscing on previous cads, Kris recalls a case in the same hospital where Bosley ended up having surgery. But that case was from the first season and Jill was still there. Kris had not yet joined the team. See more »

Satisfactory enough final episode of the classic TV series but could have been better....
2 February 2007 | by jamiecostelo58See all my reviews

After nearly five years and 113 episodes Charlie's Angels finally came to an end in the summer of 1981 with this satisfactory episode in which Kelly's life hangs in the balance...

The main highlight of 'Let Our Angel Live' are the clips from past episodes, where long-time fans would in no doubt remember, although how on earth Kris could discuss the very first 'flashback' when Cheryl Ladd hadn't even joined the show yet is a minor discrepancy from the producers! This particular story was from the very first series when Farrah Fawcett was still cast!

Viewers should see Charlie make a brief appearance toward the end of the episode, but do the Angels finally get to see him at long last? 'Let Our Angel Live' certainly contains some suspense, but it may have worked better if former Angels Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Shelley Hack had reprised their roles one last time to know whether their friend and ex-colleague Kelly would pull through or not. Overall though this was a satisfactory enough conclusion to a now legendary TV series.
