Eye Witness

Out of sight shaped up to be an exciting episode full of energy and expanding the universe. Yet I found it a little full and boring.

I love the look of the grimlocks and appreciate the attempt to raise the attempt to raise the stakes with a reporter who watches their every move. But what took it down a few notches as it takes forever to get going and overloaded with drama it doesn't allow any fun. The grimlocks feel underused and their motives feel confusing. The reporter comes off a dirt bag with no redeeming qualities and causing trouble for the heck of it.

Another issue is they are helping a friend we do really know and thus it robs the scene of any real emotional punches or suspense. The music seems recycled and confirms my suspicions no thought was really put into the project. The idea could've worked later down the road and with a few tweaks have been one of the best episodes yet falls flat here. Even the side story seems bland and uninteresting.
