Drew explains that the Y2K problem had to with early programmers using 2 digit years to save space and the concern was that computers would think that come midnight Jan 1st, 2000 it was actually midnight Jan 1st 1900, a year that computers did not exist creating an impossible problem that the computers could not compute.
