The rescue squad's license plate is 999007. In this episode, when the squad responds to a bank robbery, a police car in the background has a blue license plate with number 999008. In addition, the squad's license plate is black with yellow lettering, the police car plate is blue with yellow numbers. Why the difference in coloring? The first episode of this season show Johnny and Roy "working" on the squad at the station with the engine gone. They swap wrenches, etc until Boot steals a screwdriver. However, notice the license plate during this scene. There are several large areas missing paint and rusting on the plate. In later episodes of this season the license plate looks new and all the paint is back and shiny. No comment on what happened to the plate nor why it was replaced. Figuring since it was the first episode of the season, maybe something happened at the lot during the off season?
