Storyline

Kim Ching is Carlos' foster daughter visiting from Korea. Carlos is expecting Kim to be a young girl who still plays with teddy bears, but she ends up being a beautiful young woman who is looking for a husband. She has many wannabe suitors, in particular Ramon Diaz, the convent's gardener and a former employee of Carlos'. But in protective Carlos' mind, no man is good enough for Kim, especially Ramon, who Carlos sees as a lady's man. But for Ramon, it's love at first sight with Kim. Kim interprets Carlos' refusal to let her date any man and his want to school her in the ways of being a western lady as his own intention to marry her himself. Despite Carlos explicitly telling Kim that he is not the marrying type, Kim still interprets Carlos' kindness as wanting her to take care of him forever. Ramon appoints himself Kim's knight in shining armor to protect her against what he sees as Carlos unsavory intentions. If Ramon can only stop yelling and screaming at Carlos long enough, he would... Foster Husband?
24 October 2018 | by JordanThomasHallSee all my reviews

Carlos asks Sisters Bertrille and Sixto to pick up a little Korean girl named Kim Ching (Miko Mayama) that he signed up to be a foster parent for a few years prior. They go to the airport to find she has grown into a lovely young adult. Kim hopes to find a husband as considerate as Carlos. Kim stays at the convent where she catches the eye of gardener Ramon Diaz (George Bryson). He asks to take her out, but Carlos doesn't consent to him or anyone else, taking his father role seriously. He asks the convent, with an accompanying check, to teach her the culture in a charm school-like setting. Kim views the overprotectiveness as Carlos wanting to marry her. Kim also feels it is her duty. Ramon is angered by the situation and sets out to protect her, unknowingly from herself.
