Trivia

In this episode, Richard and Alan were talking about work and they were complaining about some co-worker named Henry, who Richard thinks is in London with some "cheap tramp" and will ruin an contract negotiation. Later on in the episode, there is a scene outside of Stars Hallow High with a bell choir. The director is having a hard time with a bell ringer named Henry who keeps ringing at the wrong time. Both times the name Henry is associated with people who are ruining things. See more »

Goofs

In earlier episodes, it's explicitly stated that Rory is 16 years old. She has had a birthday since then, thus making her 17 (there were even 17 candles on the cake), yet when Lorelai is talking to Dean at the window, she asserts that Rory is 16 now, as if the birthday episode hasn't happened yet. Quotes

[Richard collapsed at Christmas dinner due to angina, and is now trying to have a serious talk with her as he lays in the hospital]
Richard Gilmore: Emily, listen to me: if I die--
Emily Gilmore: No!
Richard Gilmore: Emily.
Emily Gilmore: Richard Gilmore, there may be many things happening in this hospital tonight, but your dying is not one of them.
Richard Gilmore: But--
Emily Gilmore: No! I did not sign on to your dying. And it is not going to happen. Not tonight, not for a very long time. In fact, I demand to go first. Do I make myself clear?
Richard Gilmore: [tenderly] Yes, Emily. You may go first.
