Two rogue cops, Bert Clark and Jim Dixon, have been moving in after robberies to collect some of the loot for themselves. Britt Reid discovers them while on patrol as the Green Hornet, but they also notice him and fire a bullet into his shoulder. With the Green Hornet being blamed for the robbery, heading to a hospital is out of the question. Reid instead fakes an injury in front of a large audience to get proper treatment. While still recuperating, he learns that his reporter, Mike Axford, has set up a trap in hopes of snaring the Green Hornet. Reid fears the snare will instead draw the rogue cops, and against doctor's advice, leaves the hospital to protect his friend.

This is only one of two instances where Bruce Lee
is seen using a gun in his entire acting career, even though the gun fired blanks. The only other time Lee used a gun in a film was in Marlowe
(1969). See more
The producers used the same automobile footage twice: a blue Mustang convertible is pulling into the hospital parking lot in two different scenes on two different days. The cars to the right of the Mustang are also identical in both scenes. See more
