Chris Thornton runs a ranch outside of Bucklin, Kansas and calls in one of his cowhands named Turner. Mr Thornton tells Turner that he knows his true identity as Luke Frazer a former bounty hunter. So Luke tells Thornton that he will be gone by sundown but Thornton has another deal for Luke. He shows Luke a wanted poster with the name of Otto Fry. Seems like Fry killed Thornton's son a few years ago and now if Luke will find and kill Otto Fry, Thornton will give him a thousand acres to live. So Luke sets out to find Fry.

The travels take him to Dodge where Otto Fry is living under the name of Lon Jenson a respectable man of the community. When Luke shows Matt a wanted poster with Lon's face on it, Matt goes out and talks with Lon. Lon explains that he killed Mr Thornton's son because he attacking his wife but since Thornton controls the town he knew they would hang him So that is why he ran and changed his name. Matt tells Lon he has to lock him up more for his protection since a bounty hunter is looking for him.

But when Marshal Dillon sends a telegraph to Bucklin Sheriff he finds out the charges has been dropped when the Thornton kid confessed on his death bed. So there was never a warrant issued. When Luke finds out he knows he has been set up. Now he rides back to Thornton's ranch to confront the man that send him to kill an innocent man.

I thought this episode was extremely well written. It contained a lot of action and suspense that kept you on the edge of your seat. A good watch for viewers.
