After a checkup, the doctor diagnoses a minor concussion and says that Jennifer must stay at the hospital overnight for observation. Bored and restless during the night, Jennifer walks the hospital hallway and sees a light that means a patient needs help come on. Wondering if she could help, she goes to the room of the patient that may need help and sees a nurse smother the patient with a pillow. When the nurse finds out Jennifer is there, she knocks Jennifer unconscious. The next day, Jennifer tells the doctor and Jonathan about what she saw and the doctor is dubious and Jonathan is confused but claims to believe her. Soon, Jennifer herself believes she was hallucinating but rests her original case when she starts being followed by a stranger. What is she to do? Written by Seneca Laurén

Did You Know?

About 32 minutes in, the view from above at the hospital parking lot shows a brown Nissan Z-car was parked in front of Mustang convertible when Jonathan is pulling in his car next to Mustang. When the view changes to the street level, the Z-car is parked one spot to the left so we can see the Jennifer's stunt getting out of car. A moment later after she was hit; the view from above shows Nissan is back to where it was before. See more »

Max: [Jennifer is going to investigate the hospital she stayed at] Well, where are you driving to at this hour?
Jennifer Hart: [slightly bugged] You sound like my mother! I'm just going to get some air.
[Exit Jennifer]

This one's got the best of everything.

Some of the best episodes are when Jennifer is in trouble and Jonathan is scrambling to protect her. This is one such episode getting everything right. After taking a nasty spill, Jennifer finds herself in the hospital overnight for observation. Little did she know she'd be making quite the observation of her own, witnessing a murder in the room next door. One thing leads to another, and neither she nor anyone else can trust that she hasn't hallucinated the whole thing. Meanwhile, the bad guys consider her a loose string they try to tie up the entire episode. All the actors do a great job, here, and the episode continues to keep you guessing till the very last moment. The true star of this one, however, is Stefanie Powers. She continues to display true acting chops in bad eps, and great ones like this one. It's not the emoting, it's the little things, like the little look she gives the doctor when he finally lets her see room 203 now that her husband has arrived. Or her self-doubt and genuine fear as she has left the ladies room and is now standing looking in on the restaurant. Then there's the continuity, referencing Stanley even if we don't see him, Max giving Jonathan work documents that he has to deal with; reminds everyone that he does actually work for a living. Great episode!
