Juvenile Delinquents, Frontier Style
7 July 2011 | by dougdoepkeSee all my reviews

Paladin hires into a frontier town where he's harassed by three young cowhands and implored by waitress Sally (Meredith) to help her leave the "sinkhole" community. All the while, a do- nothing sheriff stands around making excuses.

Average episode with a good characterization from Meredith, whose abused young woman is too scared to be of much help to Paladin. However, the three callow hooligans are straight out of the juvenile delinquent category so popular at the time. Good to see familiar face Franklyn Ferguson (Kincaid) picking up a payday as a hardened rancher. To me, the violence was less credible than usual and poorly staged, probably because the script made it so abrupt. But it's that final "walk away" scene you're likely to remember.
