Rodney Bunker and Powys Thomas

"LaSalle's Treasure" finds Hawkeye and Chingachgook leading a trio of tenderfoots through the wilderness in search of the fabled treasure of LaSalle, in Dakota territory. Victor LaSalle (Rodney Bunker, fourth of five), arm wrestling Cal Murray (John Harding, first of two), and Jock Tavish (Powys Thomas, third of six) trade in their city duds for authentic frontier garb, but find it difficult to keep up with their guides. LaSalle carries a map of the treasure's hidden location, but only offers Hawkeye one tantalizing tidbit at a time. Keeping a watchful eye on the strangers is Dakotah Chief Standing Bear (Rex Devlin, last of four), due to the treasure being located on their sacred burial ground. Their greedy comeuppance can only be averted if they heed Hawkeye's warnings.
