While rounding up horses, a group of hands are attacked by Apaches ending with a man dying on each side. At the Apache camp the Chief is dying. He has named Two Pony to be Chief after he passes. The brave Grey Wolf led the raid on the ranch hands believing it is the Apaches' duty to kill all whites. Two Pony on the other hand believes the Apache can only survive through peace with the whites and he is encouraged to try it by the dying Chief Dull Knife. After hearing Two Pony's request for peace, Big John decides to try it by having the Apache take on the job of rounding up wild horses, breaking, and shoeing them. Two Pony decides to learn the farrier work himself. Grey Wolf tries to interfere by wounding a ranch hand. When Dull Knife dies, he has Two Pony staked out and leads a band to attack Big John's crew delivering horses to the Army. Dull Knife's widow frees Two Pony who leads a band to stop Grey Wolf who has been mortally wounded in the attack. Two Pony tell Big John he will ...
