Storyline

A giant scientist has invented a device that is to be used as a guidance system for their space program. Unfortunately, it is flawed and has failed a critical test. Mark, going against Steve's orders, decides to help fix the problem and in return the scientist promises to help them return to Earth. However, the wife of the scientist is jealous of Mark and feels that any help he gives her husband will help to discredit him and as a result she reports what is going on to Inspector Kobick. Trivia

When Logar and Dr. Franzen are talking about using the guidance system for space exploration, Earth, Venus and Mercury are specifically named as possible destinations. This clearly indicates that the giant's world is somewhere in our own solar system, and that the giants know our names for these planets. See more »

Goofs

The device Mark and Dan get trapped in is only about 1 square foot when compared to giant size scale but internally there are all sorts of panel lights. There would be no reason to have any panel lights inside of a small device because it wasn't being designed to have little people in it. See more »

Land of the Giants is my favorite series EVER!!as child l'd build the spaceship in my backyard together with my friends. Today the series is revisited every month by me watching every episode as if was the first time, and Target:Earth is part of the best of them.trying to go back to the Earth the little people finds a giants scientist Franzen building a machine to able to try find explore the planet like Mercury ,Venus and Earth....so Mark help the giant scientist to fix the machine against the will of captain Burton who don't believe in the giants. Fantastic episode with Arthur Franz making the good giant as guest star!!!
