Storyline

Three outlaws lead by Al Denning force a wealthy rancher to give them a bank draft for $25,000 plus a letter allowing the bank to give them the money. Hoping for more, Al leaves him dead with a knife in the back. Local drunk Charlie Frost rides into the Sherman ranch telling Jess and Daisy that he found the rancher dead. Jess rides with Charlie to report the murder to Sheriff Cory. Meanwhile, the three outlaws are at the Laramie bank cashing the draft. Being short on paper money, the banker offers to give them most of the money in double eagle gold pieces which they accept but weighs about 100 pounds. When the bank hears that the rancher has been killed, the banker reports the incident to Sheriff Cory. Cory puts together a posse with Jess, rancher Joe Farley and his foreman Ed Casson along with farmer Sam Moore and Charlie Frost. Moore, broke, needs the money while Farley is mad at Casson for paying too much attention to his wife. On the trail the outlaws try to use the gold eagles ... Written by Anonymous

Some greedy guys

Russell Johnson and his two sidekicks steal $25,000.00 in gold coin from a rancher who is also killed. It's town drunk James Griffith who discovers the body and the theft and reports it to sheriff Stuart Randall. But it's a good thing that Randall has Robert Fuller in the posse because he's got an ill assorted group as was ever gathered for a posse on the big and small screen since The Oxbow Incident.

By leaving some of that ill gotten loot around, Johnson buys off some and leaves the others fighting. With a wounded Randall a good thing Fuller keeps his head.

Some surprises in store especially with some of the players as they are normally cast.

Check this one out.
