Storyline

A man named Collins walking down the street is knocked out as he passes the corner of a building and dragged back into an alley. After whiskey is poured on him, he is shoved into a woman's room causing her to scream. A man comes out yelling for the sheriff who happens to be there coming out of the same alley. Slim Sherman is in the town representing the stage line in a contract with Sheila Dawson for renewing right of way through her property. She's the widow of an outlaw with no head for running a ranch and she's been having bad luck in keeping a foreman, with the current one, Collins, in jail. Except he's actually an investigator for the stage company. He asks Slim to take the job of foreman because he's convinced that the money Sheila's husband stole and hid before he died is somewhere on the ranch. Slim takes the job but no one is what they seem from the hands to Sheila herself. As Slim gets closer to the truth about the money the more danger he's in until the truth is finally ... The sheriff is a stalker
2 January 2018 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

Widow Sue England is having a lot of trouble holding on to her ranch which is also another relay station for the Overland Stage. Slim Sherman who works for them is sent to assess the situation.

It doesn't help matters that the widow's late husband is suspected of complicity in a holdup and the money is thought to be buried somewhere on the ranch.

Sheriff Richard Coogan is willing to help, but for a hefty price. He's so taken with England that he doesn't want to see her get on her feet. In fact he's hired some outlaws including Ben Johnson to sabotage the work as ranch hands until she has to turn for help from him. Basically he's a stalker and it upsets his plans that John Smith is staying to help straighten the ranch out.

This episode is a bit wacky with a few surprises coming your way before it is all over.
