The team is investigating the brutalized corpse of a nine year-old boy found in the luggage compartment of a city bus and are surprised to find another boy who is hiding out there. It seems that the two boys are linked. The boys are from Guatemala, the corpse is named Jose and the boy that was hiding is named Ernesto. They are part of an adoption program put together by a string of pedophiles who brings boys in from other countries, adopt them, and sell them as prostitutes. When one of the apparently ring leaders turns up dead, there are all kind of questions of who did it and why. Did Ernesto do it to protect Jose? This exposes the wider problem of this company, it's members, and how freely it is able to falsify and manipulate the system in order to make money from these boys. Written by J. High end pedophile ring
18 November 2015 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

A young boy dies of carbon monoxide poisoning and his brother is seen running from the bus yard. Then when they're identified the squad finds the body of a man who 'adopted' them from Central America and brought them to the USA.

Other than sexual abuse these kids seem quite healthy. But that's because what the SVU squad is dealing with is a very high end ring of pedophiles, all professional folks who operate within their own enclosed circle. It reminded me of Goodfellas where Lorraine Bracco talks about the men and the women never socialized with others than those within their crime circle that the husbands and boyfriends had.

In fact the victim was done in by a person who saw the victim as violating one of the cardinal rules to prevent detection.

I found the episode interesting because of Christopher Meloni who took this case personally as he's a family man first and foremost. But notice Detective Stabler's differing interrogation techniques with two different suspects, one of them being the murderer.
