Storyline

Doc Holliday barely able to stay in the saddle rides into Tombstone. Earp believes him to be drunk while the Wells Fargo agent Thacker searches Doc's saddlebags finding $4000 in US bonds. The safe in the Wells Fargo office was blown and $40,000 stolen by two men one of whom was recognized as Doc Holliday. Thacker wants Doc arrested so Earp and Shotgun take him to the jail where they try to sober him up but he needs sleep saying he was in a poker game earlier. Earp is taking the charges seriously but once Doc "sobers up" he makes light of the issue. While Earp asks for a list of his enemies, Old Man Clanton offers to help saying Doc is one of his two friends in town while the criminal element take up a $3,000 collection to pay for a lawyer along with offers of alibis. Doc decides to refuse the money and help saying he will defend himself in court. When Doc enters a saloon, he spots Ratsy Melbourne who he thought might have framed him. He sends a message to Clanton about Ratsy. ... Written by Anonymous

Quotes

Judge Spicer: Dr. Holliday, the jury has found you guilty of grand theft. There has been no recommendation for mercy. However, the court is willing to hear medical testimony as to your physical condition, if you chose to present it.
Doc Holliday: My physical condition is excellent. And my spiritual condition is better than any legal blatherskite in this country. Including you, sir.
