That Teddy
27 November 2014 | by AaronCapenBannerSee all my reviews

Charles Martin Smith guest stars as a young man named Teddy who leaves his comfortable home back East to explore the rugged western territory in order to prove his mettle. He first encounters Mad Jack(Denver Pyle) who thinks him a greenhorn novice, though later meets James 'Grizzly" Adams(Dan Haggerty) who is willing to give him a chance, though his blunders involving mistaking Nakoma(Don Shanks) and Ben as threats to be tackled, and Number Seven the mule to be ridden, nearly ruin his credibility, though this Teddy vows to learn from his mistakes, and one day return when he has made something of himself... Most amusing episode cleverly inserts that future famous Teddy into the lives of these characters, even if Smith doesn't particularly resemble that Roosevelt...
