The getaway car (Chevy Nova) used by the person trying to kill Max with the crane bears the license number 247 PCE. These seem to show up in many movies and TV series. Another example is Dennis Weaver's Plymouth Valiant 149 PCE in "Duel". In Charlie's Angels: Angel on the Line
(1981), Kelly Garrett calls Bosley with the license plate of the car who is following her: it is also 247 PCE. And Falcon Crest featured a Corvette belonging to a lead character with the same 247 PCE. This plate number might have been the motor vehicle equivalent of the fictitious are code (555) for TV and movie phones. See more
